by Paul Heath

The first sequel in the Avatar movie series set for screens this coming December now has an official title. Avatar: The Way Of Water is said title, the film swimming into cinemas at the end of the year with James Cameron directing. The film is the first in a series of four planned sequels currently in production in New Zealand.

A first trailer played to the packed crowd of movie exhibitors in Las Vegas on Wednesday, a promo that will be attached to the new Marvel Studios movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which rolls into cinemas next week. The trailer will then be released online.

The short synopsis for the new movie is as follows:

Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) lives with his newfound family formed on the planet of Pandora. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and the army of the Na’vi race to protect their planet.

We’ll bring you that trailer just as soon as it becomes available.
