A sequel series to The Full Monty, the break-out 1997 British movie about a group of male strippers who take to the stage as strippers in order to generate some cash after being laid off, is set to come to the small screen in a new eight-episode run.
The series will come to screen with most of the original cast involved, including Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snape and Tom Wilkinson.
There will also be new characters introduced, including children and grandchildren that have been born in the 25 years between the film and the new series.
The original screenwriter Simon Beaufoy will return to pen the series, while producer Uberto Pasolini will also return.
The series will be filmed and set in Sheffield with filming also set for Manchester in the north of England.
The Full Monty will land on Disney+ globally, Star+ in Latin America and Hulu in the U.S.
More as it comes in.
