We are hearing this morning that the three-part BBC prison-set series Time is set to return for a second season. Sean Bean and Stephen Graham were terrific in the first run, which aired on the British terrestrial channel last year. Both, however, will reportedly not return for the second series.
In series one, Sean Bean played inmate Mark Cobden, a man incarcerated for a silly mistake and the three-parter charted his ‘time’ inside. Graham played the role of prison officer Eric McNally.
Jimmy McGovern wrote the first series which is still available on the BBC iPlayer in the UK.
This news of the new series comes from Radio Times who say that the next run will be a completely different story and set in an all-female prison, presumably somewhere in the UK.
