A new trailer and poster have arrived for Fresh, Searchlight Pictures’ upcoming Hulu-bound Fresh, a film that landed very positively at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan lead the cast of the film.
In Fresh, Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), meets the alluring Steve (Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and – given her frustration with dating apps – takes a chance and gives him her number. After their first date, Noa is smitten and accepts Steve’s invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites.
We loved this film at Sundance, saying:
It’s a tale as old as time: girl meets boy, boy then reveals himself to be not exactly what he initially seemed to be, and horror ensues. Whilst not the most original of through-lines, director Mimi Cave and writer Lauryn Jahn infuse Fresh with enough new and interesting components to make their film feel, well… fresh.
Here’s the new trailer for the film which lands on Hulu, where available, on 4th March. We hear that this will go to Disney+’s Star later in the spring.
