This year’s Oscar nominations have been revealed at an early briefing from Los Angeles. The big leader this year is Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog which leads the pack with 12 nods, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Bringing up the rear is Denis Villeneuve’s Dune with 10, and then Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical Belfast with 7. West Side Story, Steven Spielberg’s version of the classic musical has 7 nominations, while Will Smith-led King Richard has 6.
