It looks like Academy Award-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho has set up his next project and it looks like it is going to be a science fiction movie with future Batman Robert Pattinson. Pattinson is officially in talks for the movie, which is to be based Edward Ashton’s upcoming novel Mickey7.
Deadline broke the news of the untilted project, which is being set up at Warner Bros., home of The Batman, which hits cinemas in early March. The novel on which this one will be based, is not on shelves as yet, a 2022 release set, but the trade does have a brief synopsis:
The novel’s story follows, Mickey7, is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there’s a mission that’s too dangerous—even suicidal—the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal…and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
This is an exciting team-up and furthermore shows Pattinson’s brilliant and varied choices when it comes to big-screen roles. Very much looking forward to seeing how this one plays out.

Pattinson will next be seen in The Batman which opens on 4th March.
