Ryan Reynolds to take a ‘little sabbatical’ from movie making

He will next be seen in Netflix’s Red Notice.

After crushing it in films like Free Guy and the upcoming Red Notice – which is due on Netflix screens next month, Ryan Reynolds is reportedly taking a little break from movie making. The actor has just finished work on an Apple TV+ project titled Spirited, in which he stars opposite Will Ferrell, but said the following on social media after what appears to be a challenging shoot.

Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”

Spirited is a Christmas movie – presumably due on screens next year – that is in the same vein as Charles Dickens’ immortal ‘A Christmas Carol’ story. Sean Anders and John Morris are directing from a screenplay they wrote. Octavia Spencer is also amongst the main cast.

We’ll bring you more news on that flick as it comes in. For now, let’s enjoy that awesome Reynolds and Ferrell ‘Mika’ TikTok. Love this.
