Following the success of his latest movie We Can Be Heroes, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez has released a new film school featurette on Netflix’s YouTube page. The film was released on Christmas Day last year and was received really well, particularly by families. Now, Rodriguez and his filmmaking family go behind the scenes of the movie which is still playing on the streamer.
When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.
In the video, Rodriguez and his daughter Rhiannon discuss the art and inspirations behind the film, and why the character of Ojo originally had one eye. This is just the first of four planned featurettes in the film school series, titled ‘We Can Be Filmmakers’
Here’s the video.
