BBC mini-series ‘The Pursuit of Love’ is coming to the home formats next month

The three-part BBC mini-series The Pursuit of Love has been confirmed to be landing on the home formats in July – next week, in fact. We mention it as it comes to the screen from actor and director Emily Mortimer, based on the novel by Nancy Mitford. Mortimer also wrote the scripts for the television adaptation.

The project was Mortimer’s directing debut and aired on the BBC recently. Lily James, Emily Beecham, Dominic West and Andrew Scott line up amongst the cast.

Growing up in the roaring 1920s, young cousins Linda Radlett and Fanny Logan defy all expectations by diving headlong into every experience that life – and love – has to offer. Headstrong Linda wants the perfect romance. And book-smart Fanny longs for something more solid. As their lives take different paths, will they ever find Mr Right? And how will they know true love when they find it?

The Pursuit of Love presents a world of glamour, privilege and unfettered British eccentricity. But underneath the exuberance are deep emotional truths, and a manifesto for how to live life fearlessly while relishing all of its absurdities.

The series will be released on digital, DVD and Blu-ray from 5th July. Here’s a taster.
