First tease for ‘The Tomorrow War’ with Chris Pratt arrives online

Beaming onto Prime Video in July.

Following on from the first images yesterday, the debut tease for The Tomorrow War has arrived online. The film stars Chris Pratt, who also executive produces, and is directed by Chris McKay. Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Keith Powers round out the cast of the movie which is coming to Amazon Prime Video in the summer.

We’ve got some more info on the movie below.

In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

There’s less that thirty seconds on show in this first tease, which I must admit, is a little disappointing. Though, as I said, this is less than half a minute so we can’t judge a two-hour-plus movie just from this. The Tomorrow War will land on Amazon Prime Video from 2nd July.

Check out the trailer below.
