A brand new clip for for the upcoming Dream Horse has been released. The film will get a release through Bleecker Street in U.S. cinemas from 21st May and then on-demand from 11th June. The film stars Toni Collette and Damian Lewis and is an inspiring true story of an unlikely thoroughbred race horse, Dream Alliance. The feature is directed by Euros Lyn (BBC One’s Doctor Who, ITV’s Broadchurch).
Owen Teale, Joanna Page, Karl Johnson, Steffan Rhodri, Anthony O’Donnell with Nicholas Farrell and Sian Phillips are also amongst the cast with the screenplay written by Neil McKay.
The film tells the inspiring true story of Dream Alliance, an unlikely race horse bred by small town bartender, Jan Vokes (Academy Award® nominee Toni Collette). With very little money and no experience, Jan convinces her neighbours to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise Dream and compete with the racing elites. Their investment pays off as Dream rises through the ranks and becomes a beacon of hope in their struggling community.
Dream Horse was supposed to release in the UK in January but was postponed due to cinemas closing because of the pandemic. It’s nice to see the film starting roll out now though. More as we get it. Here’s that new trailer.
