Here’s your first proper look at upcoming TV series The Mosquito Coast which is set for Apple TV+ soon. Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman lead the cast of the series, which has its first two episodes drop on 30th April.
If you’re unfamiliar with the material, here’s a recap via the official synopsis as supplied by Apple.
From award-winning novelist Neil Cross, and based on the best-selling book by Paul Theroux which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, “The Mosquito Coast” is a gripping adventure and layered character drama following the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox (played by Justin Theroux), who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.
The Mosquito Coast was, of course, made into a film back in 1986 with Peter Weir at the helm and Harrison Ford in the lead as Fox. Rupert Wyatt directs the first two episodes of the new version, which is set across seven episodes.
Here’s the new trailer.
