PSA: ‘Cobra Kai’ season three is going to be available on Netflix even earlier

Happy new year.

We interrupt your holiday break to bring you a quick public service announcement; Cobra Kai season III is dropping on Netflix slightly earlier than we expected – on New Year’s Day, 1st January. The Cobra Kai season 3 release date was confirmed via a tweet that was delivered by the show’s official Twitter account just before Christmas. The third season of the hit ‘Karate Kid’ spin-off series, was expected to land a week later than that, on 8th January.

Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) return for ten more episodes, the first to debut on Netflix, though both seasons one and two are also now available to watch on the streamer.

Cobra Kai takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Season Three finds everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which has left Miguel in a precarious condition. While Daniel searches for answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley is at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei hangs in the balance.
