A new behind the scenes video has dropped for the new Christopher Nolan movie Tenet. The film is gaining audiences around the world as cinemas reopen with a reported $53 million already taken from international markets, including the UK where it opened a week ago. In the new video, writer/ director/ producer Christopher Nolan, John David Washington (The Protagonist), and Director of Photography Hoyte Van Hoytema share their experience shooting Tenet with IMAX film cameras.
Continuing the longstanding partnership between IMAX and acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, sequences of Tenet were shot using 15 perf/70mm IMAX cameras. Tenet is the latest of Nolan’s trailblazing films also shot with IMAX cameras, including Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan designed Tenet with IMAX in mind – capturing the film with IMAX cameras, among the highest-resolution cameras in the world, and also refining the film throughout post-production in an IMAX cinema to further optimise how audiences will experience the film in IMAX.
