In devastating news this morning, it has been confirmed that Chadwick Boseman has passed away at the age of just 43. A tweet posted on the actor’s official account confirmed the news late on Friday evening. The beloved actor, who starred in the likes of Black Panther, 42, and more recently 21 Bridges and the amazing Da 5 Bloods had been battling colon cancer after being diagnosed in 2016.

Disney executive chairman Bob Iger tweeted shortly after the news broke; “We are all heartbroken by the tragic loss of #chadwickboseman — an extraordinary talent, and one of the most gentle and giving souls I have ever met. He brought enormous strength, dignity and depth to his groundbreaking role of Black Panther; shattering myths and stereotypes.”
As then news broke, more tributes came in for the beloved actor.
