Here comes the new Emma trailer. The film is a brand new adaptation of the classic Jane Austen novel and comes to the screen from director Autumn de Wilde, adapted for the screen by writer Eleanor Catton. The film, due in cinemas in the early part of next year, boasts a hugely impressive cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Miranda Hart, Josh O’Connor, Callum Turner, Rupert Graves, Gemma Whelan, Amber Anderson, Tanya Reynolds, and Connor Swindells.
Here’s the official synopsis courtesy of the studio, Universal Pictures.
Jane Austen’s beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending, is reimagined in this delicious new film adaptation of EMMA. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

Working Title is behind Emma, the film produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Graham Broadbent, and Pete Czernin.
Director Autumn de Wilde is also a celebrated photographer, who has photographed album covers for the likes of The Raconteurs, The White Stripes, and Fiona Apple. She also shot the poster for the movie. I can’t wait to see what she’s done with this new movie.
The film is set for cinemas on 14th February. We also have a new image from the movie (see above), as well as that striking poster (also above). Check out the Emma trailer below.
