Next week, a new British film titled Gwen arrives on screen. The film stars Maxime Peake and talented newcomer Eleanor Worthington-Cox (Olivier award winner for Matilda) in a period drama set in Wales during the industrial revolution. To coincide with the release, we have a new, exclusive clip to share.
Here’s the official synopsis: In the stark beauty of 19th Century Snowdonia a young girl, Gwen, tries desperately to hold her home together. Struggling with her mother’s mysterious illness, her father’s absence and a ruthless mining company encroaching on their land, a growing darkness begins to take grip of her home, and the suspicious local community turns on Gwen and her family.

Gwen debuted at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival before traveling the world and playing at other notable movie gatherings before its release next week (19th July) from Bulldog Film Distribution.
