Some news broke over the past 24 hours that none other than Jason Reitman, celebrated filmmaker behind the likes of Up In The Air, Juno and this weekend’s big opener The Front Runner, is set to direct a new sequel in the Ghostbusters series. Well, a teaser trailer is already online.
The planned sequel, due in the summer of 2020, will reportedly be a follow-up to 1989’s Ghostbusters 2, and will disregard the recent reboot. Reitmen said that the film, which he will also co-write with Gil Kenan, will be “the next chapter in the original franchise”. Reitman added to EW that the film “a lot of wonderful surprises and new characters for the audience to meet”.
The teaser trailer for the movie was released online late on Wednesday, so missed our updates yesterday, but you can view it below in Jason Reitman’s Twitter post.
