British comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are planning a new movie. The film, titled The Glove, will see the duo head off in pursuit of Michael Jackson’s white glove.
The news comes from Chortle who say that the pair wrote the film ten years ago. They will reportedly play childhood friends who own a failing junk shop. And when they struggle to pay the rent, their obnoxious landlord gives them an alternative to eviction: to get hold of that mythical glove.
It is described as ‘a madcap road movie across Britain as they enter the world of strange collectibles and celebrity memorabilia.
StudioPOW, Funny Cow producer Kevin Proctor and Perry Trevers are behind the feature.
StudioPOW said in a statement: “We are hugely excited at the potential of this laugh out loud comedy. We already know that it will be packed full of legendary comics and actors.”
Mat Whitecross, who directed the Oasis documentary Supersonic and the feature Spike Island, among others, will helm the movie.
