Here’s a first-look image of a virtually unrecognisable Nicole Kidman in a new film called Destroyer, which will premiere at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival in Canada. Kidman will play the role of Erin Bell, an LAPD detective haunted by her past.
Sebastian Stan, Toby Kebbell, Tatiana Maslany, Bradley Whitford, Jade Pettyjohn, and Scoot McNairy are also amongst the cast. Karyn Kusama directs.
Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
Destroyer will debut at TIFF in September before rolling out to cinemas in the U.S. in December and the UK hopefully sometime next year. See the debut image of Kidman in the film above.
