Rupert Everett Interview For The Happy Prince

The film picks up where many others about Wilde have left off, focusing on his life after release from prison and his subsequent years in exile in France and Italy.  The flashbacks to his glittering years in society are few, as we’re taken into the other side of his story – the attempts at a reconciliation with Bosie (Colin Morgan), the devotion of Robbie Ross (Edwin Thomas) and Wilde himself resorting to scrounging drinks from anybody who will take pity on him.  The cast also includes Colin Firth, Emily Watson, Tom Wilkinson and Anna Chancellor.
