Elizabeth Banks is set to lead the cast of a future James Gunn-produced horror movie. The film is being written by Brian and Mark Gunn, with The H Collective fully financing and producing alongside Gunn and his company Troll Court Entertainment.
Production is expected to start this spring on the film, plot details for which are as yet unknown.
Speaking in a statement following Banks’ casting, Gunn said:
“Elizabeth and I have been on the same artistic page since we first met when she auditioned for Slither back in 2005. She’s since remained one of my best friends in the world, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to work with her again. She’s the perfect partner to Yarvo, the H Collective and myself in creating this very special project.”
The two first united on the 2006 horror movie Slither, Gunn’s well-regarded directorial debut.
