X-Men: Dark Phoenix is about to roll into production, and the very first set images have graced the web. The film will be directed by X-Men series producer and writer Simon Kinberg, and will officially go before the cameras this summer, but it looks like the cast are already prepping for the forthcoming sequel, with James McAvoy in particular taking to Instagram to give us an update. Away with that hair again!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will also star Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). Jessica Chastain is also rumoured for a role in the big-budget movie, the third of three X-Men movies set to land in 2018, following New Mutants and Deadpool 2.
‘Dark Phoenix’ will be set in the 1990s, tens years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse.
A Jennifer Lawrence fan feed also got the first X-Men: Dark Phoenix set pic. Take a look at that below. The film opens in November 2018.
