Tom Hardy has signed on the dotted line to star in a new Netflix-financed movie War Party. The film, which is to be directed by The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’s Andrew Dominik, will see Hardy play a Navy SEAL and re-team him with Taboo co-producers Scott Free Productions.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on true events, but plot points are being kept well under wraps. We do know that up and coming scripter Harrison Query will write the film for the streamer.
Hardy will next be seen in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, and then J.C. Chandor’s Triple Frontier and Josh Trank’s Fonzo, where he plays Al Capone.
