The Late, Late Show host James Corden has joined the cast of the in-production Ocean’s Eight. The news of the British star’s casting was first reported by Deadline, who revealed that the TV host and star of such films as Into The Woods, The History Boys and Trolls, had joined the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter.

Shooting is taking place in New York City where a heist is being plotted by the aforementioned ‘eight’. The trade blog reports that Corden will play an insurance investigator who grows suspicious of them.

Katie Holmes has also been spotted on set (as you can see via the two set grabs below) Does she also have a part in the movie? She has yet to be confirmed, but was seen with Zac Posen under the cover of darkness. Warner Bros. are yet to confirm, but take a look at these…

Damien Lewis (Billions) also has a role in the film – he is expected to be playing the film’s villain. The Homeland actor was also recently spotted on set with the rest of the cast.

Gary Ross is directing Ocean’s Eight for Warner Bros, which is, of course, a spin-off from the George Clooney-led movies that started with Ocean’s Eleven.

The release date for the film has been set for the summer of 2018.
