Moana teaser trailer: Following massive success with Zootropolis back at Easter, Disney release their second big animated film of 2016.
More on the Moana teaser trailer news below.
Walt Disney Animation Studios have just released the first Moana teaser trailer ahead of its release towards the end of the year.
The film is brought to the screen from Disney animation legends Ron Clements and John Musker, who have in the past brought us the likes of Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog and The Little Mermaid. Dwayne Johnson and newcomer Auli’i Carvalho provide the principal voices in the Moana movie, which arrives on U.S. soil this coming Thanksgiving.
We have the Moana teaser trailer below, but first, here’s a little about the plot.
Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes Moana, a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
Disney also released the first Moana teaser poster this past week, via Dwayne Johnson’s popular Twitter account, and judging by that and the Moana teaser trailer, we’re in for a bit of a treat come the end of the year.
Moana will arrive in UK cinemas on the 2nd of December, and US cinemas a little before on November 23rd.
