Arrow Season Four

Another day another trailer for a CW show. Over the weekend we brought you the trailer for season seven of The Vampire Diaries as well as the trailer for the third series of it’s spin-off show The Originals. Today sees us switch our focus from the supernatural to the super-heroic as the trailer for Arrow Season four has arrived.

The show chronicles the life of millionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as he returns to his home of Starling City after being stranded alone on a remote island for several years. Oliver Queen is of course the alter ego of DC hero The Green Arrow, a strange blend of Batman and Robin Hood. As the shows run has progressed the Arrow has been joined by other Green Arrow universe heroes The Black Canary and Arsenal and our heroes have battled the likes of Malcolm Merlin, Deathstroke and the leader of the League of Assassins Ra’s Al Ghul. Last year ended with it looking like a certain archer might be retiring however the below trailer highlights that a heroes work is never finished, check it out now:

The fourth year of Arrow is sure to be it’s most adventurous season yet with Oliver and his newly expanded team which includes Speedy and a costume upgrade for Diggle will have their work cut to for them as they battle Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). The group will also have to contend with the return of original Black Canary (Caity Lotz). He’ll also receive some extra special help from one John Constantine, Matt Ryan reprising his role from the defunct NBC series.

Over the years Arrow has proven to be exceptionally popular and has spun off not one, but two sister shows, The Flash (which airs it’s second season at the same time as Arrow season four) and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow season four airs in the US on The CW from Wednesday 7th October. UK Arrow fans will have a short wait, the show returning to Sky One late October.
