Warner Bros. has released an official image for the film adaption of the popular 1960’s television show THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Retaining the basic set-up from the original TV series, the film centres upon American CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and his KGB counterpart Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) who are forced to set aside their longstanding hostilities and work together on a joint mission to save the world from a crime organisation hell bent on destabilising power through proliferating nuclear weapons and technology.
Racing against time, the duo must follow Gaby Teller (Alicia Vikander) who is the daughter of a German scientist central to the criminal organisation’s master plan. Directed by Guy Ritchie who also wrote the screenplay with his Sherlock Holmes collaborator Lionel Wigram, the film also stars Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Debicki, and Jared Harris.
THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E opens in theatres on 14th August 2015.
