According to trade reports that Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap and Brad Pitt’s Plan B are set to produce a new version of The Thin Man. The very successful production houses are planning the set about updating the property that began with the 1934 film (based on the novel of the same name by Dashiell Hammett) that then spawned no less than five sequels. Sounds like this could be a great new franchise for the two companies.
The film revolved a former detective and his wife who take on a criminal case and set about solving it, just for the fun of it.
William Powell and Myrna Loy headlined the original movie.
