With 22 JUMP STREET about to hit our theatres, we thought it would be great to look back over a number of US TV shows that successfully made the leap from the small to the big screen. Unlike video games there have been a number of great shows that became great movies but I certainly had to show some restraint here. I personally love LOST IN SPACE, MIAMI VICE, and S.W.A.T. in their cinematic forms but had to concede that they aren’t always the most popular of film translations. For this list it may be a continuation of the TV series itself or a complete reboot, and make sure you visit us in a few weeks where we’ll be looking over the worst British/Irish jumps to “celebrate” the arrival of MRS. BROWN’S BOYS D’MOVIE.
