PITCH PERFECT was an undeniably brilliant sleeper hit and if you’ve not seen it yet, it’s completely and unexpectedly awesome. I’m not one for the likes of Glee and such, but when you’ve got Anna Kendrick in the lead role alongside a great cast that also includes Rebel Wilson, Hana Mae Lee, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Brittany Snow, and Kelley Jakle, it works. The other name that returns to the fray is Elizabeth Banks, who’s set to take on her first directing role for this sequel PITCH PERFECT 2.
Today, we’ve also got the news that rising starlet Hailee Steinfeld has joined the gang, you’ll know her recently from the likes of TRUE GRIT and ENDER’S GAME. The announcement came directly from their official Twitter, so we know it’s all true. This addition would also make a lot of sense looking ahead to future plans, especially as Kendrick isn’t necessarily staying forever and is a massive pull for all audiences.
