We last saw him as a tight-faced surgeon in the superb HBO biopic BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, and now Rob Lowe seems to have his eyes set on a high-budget potential franchise fare over at Paramount Pictures. Lowe is in talks to join MONSTER TRUCKS, a CGI/ live-action film alongside Jane Levy, Lucas Till, Danny Glover, Amy Ryan, Thomas Lennon, Barry Pepper and Holt McCallany.
Animation veteran Chris Wedge (ICE AGE) is directing the film for the studio, which supposedly revolves around those trucks with the very big wheels, though no official plot has been released. However, we do know that Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger (KUNG FU PANDA) are penning the screenplay for the film.
The word is that this epic will debut on 29th May, 2015.
Rob Lowe will next be seen in the comedy SEX TAPE alongside Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal.
