The Assassin’s Creed franchise has done phenomenally well since the first game was released back in 2007. As its success continues, New Regency and Ubisoft are keen to begin work on the video game adaptation.
Michael Fassbender has agreed to star in ASSASSIN’S CREED-which has been news for over a year now- however Ubisoft and New Regency have only just released news on the director, the man taking on the job is Justin Kurzel.
2015 seems to be a pretty big year for both Kurzel and Fassbender; as well as the scheduling of ASSASSIN’S CREED, Kurzel’s MACBETH (also starring Fassbender) is now in the post-production stages and is rumoured to be released in 2015. On top of the video game adaptation, Ubisoft and New Regency are also currently working on SPLINTER CELL, with Doug Liman as director and Tom Hardy taking the lead role.
For the moment though, New Regency and Ubisoft seem to be focusing on ASSASSIN’S CREED and are keen to get it moving quickly. It won’t be too long before we hear the next bit of news about it for you!
