Time for your daily STAR WARS rumour news, and today it has been revealed that Harrison Ford’s role in the upcoming STAR WARS EPISODE VII is much more than the extended cameo that was mentioned many moons ago. According to Deadline director JJ Abrams and Disney have planned a “gigantic role” for Ford in the first film of the new trilogy.

Mike Fleming over at the site also has details that INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS star Oscar Issacs is in line for a role, but Heat Vision writer Borys Kit says that he may have to drop out of the first sequel due to theatre commitments.

Kit also says Brit John Boyega (ATTACK THE BLOCK) looks like a possible cert after giving Jesse Owens biopic the swerve, and Adam Driver, who had been rumoured a little while ago, is also on board for a key role.

Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will also appear in Episode VII in a some form, and Hamill has been pictured in London this week ahead of a rumoured table read through of the script set to take place in a secret location with most of the cast later today.

Excited much?
