While we’re still in for another classic espionage romp with Sam Mendes’ follow up to SKYFALL, the upcoming production is down a key member. Daniel Craig is of course stepping back into a tuxedo but he won’t be being filmed by fabled cinematographer Roger Deakins, who now isn’t returning for the new installment.
It’s certainly a blow to the project as his work on SKYFALL wowed audiences and helped establish the films critical success. Perhaps the change will end up being a positive move for the series, it’s certainly never suffered from a little reinvention.
