Currently playing at the Berlin Film festival, Michael Winterbottom’s upcoming feature, FACE OF AN ANGEL has released its first teaser. Inspired by Barbie Latza Nadeau’s book “Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox”, the film gives a fictional account of the tragic Italian murder case and looks to focus more on the aftermath of the event and examine the sensationalism of murder in modern media.
The film follows recently divorced filmmaker Thomas (Daniel Bruhl) as he is commissioned to make a film about the murder case. He travels to Siena for research while he’s slowly tormented by his own morality about whether to make the film. As he reaches breaking point he meets British student Melanie (Cara Delevingne) who manages to bring him back from the brink and help him prioritise his life. Check out the teaser below:
