While they may have crushed box-office records around the globe, it’s difficult to hide my distain for the last two TRANSFORMERS films. I’ve a real soft spot for Michael Bay’s opening film in the toy-based franchise but both REVENGE OF THE FALLEN and DARK OF THE MOON, I found difficult to comprehend in their thunderous, headache-inducing awfulness. We here at THN are hoping this reboot of sorts – TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION – will put Prime back on track… or at least bareable!
Fingers crossed Mark Wahlberg, who reunites with Bay after the well-recieved PAIN & GAIN, can reinvigorate the Autobots as they face a new enemy. Check out the first Super Bowl trailer and robot still action from the fourth instalment.
TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is slated for release on the 10th July 2014 and will co-star Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, Han Geng and Titus Welliver.
