Opening in UK cinemas and US cinemas from tomorrow is Robert Rodriguez’s action-packed MACHETE KILLS, the follow-up to a film based on a faux trailer hidden within Rodriguez and Tarantino tie-up GRIND HOUSE. Our very own Kat SMith reviewed the film this week, awarding it three stars and calling it ‘beautifully bonkers.’ Joe Upton gave it a similar rating on this week’s ‘Hollywood Booze’ podcast (online tomorrow), but wasn’t as animated about it. Anyway, you can all make up your own minds when it’s in cinemas tomorrow.
Until then, let me share this fantastic new music video with you from global star and MACHETE KILLS actress Lady Gaga. This lyric video featuring the track ‘Aura,’ is taken from the film and her upcoming album ‘Artpop,’ which is out on the 11th November.
MACHETE KILLS is an action-packed thrill ride about the adventures of legendary secret agent Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo). In his latest mission, Machete is recruited by the U.S. President (Carlos Estevez) to stop a crazed global terrorist (Mel Gibson) from starting a nuclear war. With a bounty on his head, Machete faces death at every turn from an all-star cast of deadly assassins. Breaking all the rules, visionary director Robert Rodriguez leads this star-studded ensemble on one of the wildest adventures to save the world ever captured on film!
