A brand new images have surfaced from Marvel’s action-adventure sequel THOR: THE DARK WORLD, which shows the comedic genius Chris O’Dowd in a mysterious and much-rumoured role. Many had suggested he was to play Dr. Donald Blake (sorry, the name is lost on me) but apparently he only has a short cameo as one of Jane Foster’s new dinner dates. We also have yet another international television spot but this time new footage has been spotted!
Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston, Stellen Skarsgaard, Jamie Alexander, Christopher Eccleston, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Tadanobu Asano, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. It’s released in UK cinemas 30th October and the US 8th November.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
