Ones To Watch: Orphan Black *Spoilers Ahead*

orphan blackThe show that has caused the most wonderfully nerdy storm in the USA is FINALLY making its way to our small screens. Ladies and gentlemen, may we present to you, your new favourite show: ORPHAN BLACK.

Every good story starts out with a death right? That is what rebel and small time con artist Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany) soon finds out as she steps off the train in her hometown and she witnesses a lady jumping in front of a train. But before she jumps, she realises that the woman in front of her looks eerily similar, her twin almost. Growing up in a foster home, she starts to wonder if they could be related in some way, but the discovery kicks off a journey of love, death, deceit and clones…lots of clones.

Within the first episode Maslany just might be one of our favourite anti heroes to come from a TV show in a while. You just have to love a character who really does not give a f**k, but you have to love that character even more when you realise just how much she cares, and everything she does is for the sake of her loved ones. While Maslany completely shines in her role (we can now see all the hoop-de-la around her not getting nominated for an Emmy!) we have to mention the amazing supporting cast, including her foster brother Felix played by Jordan Gavaris. The show from BBC America has become a cult show, and you better believe it is a show that is actually worthy of its status.

Sex, science and so many versions of Tatiana Maslany…what more could you ask?

ORPHAN BLACK starts tonight at 9pm on BBC3
