THN are extremely looking forward to catching Ridley Scott’s tense drug-themed thriller THE COUNSELLOR. While Scott is often an outstanding directing talent, perhaps it’s the awesome all-star cast that has us so excited. Scott’s reunited with PROMETHEUS’ Michael Fassbender, with Irish actor leading as a defence attorney looking at setting up a $20 million cocaine deal between two of his clients (Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt) and scoring a big cash haul for himself. Coming from a screenplay by famed NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and THE ROAD author Cormac McCarthy, we know things are not going to play straight and simple!
Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott and Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men) have joined forces in the motion picture thriller THE COUNSELOR, starring Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penélope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut and Scott interweave the author’s characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer’s dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.
Check out this latest sexy clip in which Cameron Diaz tries to get flirty alongside Spanish stunner Penelope Cruz. We’ve also added the latest international posters.
THE COUNSELLOR co-stars Dean Norris, Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer, Goran Visnjic and arrives in cinemas on the 25th October.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
