What’s this nonsense? A film about Grace Kelly and they don’t include that horrendously catchy pop-tune by Mika? Treating the subject with dignity and respect? That’s madness. But we’ve come to expect such things from director Olivier Dahan, the man responsible for the wonderous LA VIE EN ROSE, the biopic of Edith Piaf. GRACE OF MONACO will follow Hollywood star Grace Kelly, as portrayed by Nicole Kidman, who married the prince of Monaco at a time when the second smallest country in the world was at odds with France.
The trailer may be short but by Jove is it beautiful. Gorgeous music plays while Frank Langella’s voice over plays. Isn’t that what we all want in life? I know I do.
GRACE OF MONACO will be released on 27th November in the US as a limited release and 29th November in the UK. It stars Nicole Kidman, Tim Roth, Frank Langella, Parker Posey, Paz Vega, and Derek Jacobi.
