Word on a big screen outing for the show Entourage, picking up a short time after the series’ finale episode, came around at the start of the year but there has been little news since. Now it would seem that some cast members have been holding out for more money and this has delayed shooting that was expected to start in May. With the show’s run already wrapped up, recasting or omitting any of the show’s key roles is out of the question, so it looks like those looking forward to the film will just have to wait until everybody is happy.
Jeremy Piven reportedly signed his contract for the film just a couple of weeks ago, but Adrian Grenier (who played the series main character, Vincent Chase) and Jerry Ferrara (Chase’s friend, Turtle) are still holding out.
(Series finale spoilers ahead)
The film would reportedly be set six months after the show’s finale, showing Jeremy Piven’s character, Ari, running his own studio and casting Chase in a big screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It seems the film would be sticking close to the show’s form, then, so long as production gets past this roadblock.
