Listen To The ‘Gravity’ Soundtrack Right Now!

Sound is going to be integral to the immersive experience of GRAVITY, the hugely anticipated film about two astronauts who are stranded in space after their ship is destroyed by debris. Director Alfonso Cuaron, interviewed in Venice this week, has stated that the best way to see GRAVITY is with a Dolby Atmos system, noting that such a sound system is as important as the film’s use of 3D (and this is proper 3D, not CLASH OF THE TITANS post-converted nonsense).

It seems that, with such a responsibility placed on it, GRAVITY’s soundtrack will be a significant factor towards the film’s success or failure. ‘If only we could hear it so that we can be reassured’, I hear you say (I don’t). Well, the film’s future audiences can now listen to 20 minutes of Stephen Price’s score for free, thanks to it being uploaded today to SoundCloud and YouTube (both of which are embedded below).

Price’s previous work includes the soundtracks for THE WORLD’S END and ATTACK THE BLOCK and, *spoiler alert*, this 20-minute excerpt far from disappoints. Listen to it and get excited, for GRAVITY is looking to be very good indeed.

GRAVITY stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as the fated astronauts. It is set to release on 4th October in the US and 8th November in the UK.
