The trouble behind-the-scenes of Marvel’s THOR: THE DARK WORLD doesn’t seem to have scared off Skydance Productions, Paramount and Annapurna Pictures as director Alan Taylor is negotiations to helm the forthcoming TERMINATOR reboot/sequel. There is no plot details currently available but the film will have a screenplay by DRIVE ANGRY’s Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. The James Cameron-created futuristic cyborg franchise is to receive a reboot of sorts and the beginning of a new trilogy that is expected to still feature Arnold Schwarzenegger in some capacity.
This new project is expected to shoot next year with a summer 2015 release date currently eyed. We’ve yet to see if Taylor can make the step up from television hit series like GAME OF THRONES to blockbuster movies but we’ll soon find when his THOR sequel is released on the 30th October.
Are you guys excited for a brand new killer robot on the loose?

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
