A visual-effects test reel has surfaced from the forthcoming fright flick STUNG. The plot centres on a family garden party that turns terrifying when a local species of wasp mutate and go on a flesh-eating feeding frenzy! The independent horror film is set to star cult faves Peter Stormare (FARGO) and Lance Henriksen (ALIENS), alongside Matt O’Leary (BRICK) and stunning newcomer Jessica Cook. Bennie Diez will direct.
From this first look at the tone of the film, it certainly looks intense fun and the special-effects/gore are definitely of a higher calibre than those usual low-budget Asylum-style pics. Keep up with the film’s progress via its Facebook page.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
