A trailer has hit for Jamie Meltzer’s documentary INFORMANT, which profiles Brandon Darby. Darby became a hero when he rescued his friend during Hurricane Katrina and soon after co-founded the organisation Common Ground before becoming an FBI Informant. How can one guy turn from such an anti-establishment figure to informing for the government? Well, I guess that’s what makes this film sound so interesting. Check out the trailer below!
Darby showed to be key in the arrest of two protestors at the 2008 Republican National Convention which sees to be the crux of the film in Darby’s double life starting to become unraveled. It’s already the winner of Best Documentary at the 2012 Doc NYV Festival along with playing at other big festivals and has just recently found distribution through Magic Box. It looks to be an insightful look into a polarising political and will be in theatres and on-demand services from 13th September.
