Jean-Marc Vallée’s DALLAS BUYERS CLUB is set for release on 6th December, but the director already seems to have found his next project. Already announced to star Reece Witherspoon, Vallée will be directing WILD, an adaptation of the Cheryl Strayed (pictured) best selling memoir of the same name. The story sees Strayed emotionally battered and beaten after her marriage has broken down and her mother passes away. After years of reckless behavior she embarks on a more than a thousand mile hike, alone, along the Pacific Crest Trail.
Details for the film are slowly coming together but it looks to have all the makings of an emotional powerhouse showing a young woman at the end of her rope on a journey to save herself.
