JFK Assassination Thriller ‘Parkland’ First Trailer

Oliver Stone’s JFK is a film I couldn’t get enough of as a wee-lad, and judging by the trailer to first time director Peter Landesman’s PARKLAND, it looks as though I’m about to be equally impressed. PARKLAND, named after the hospital where president John F. Kennedy died, will recount the hectic events of the day as well as looking at the impact the event had on a number of people. Obviously the event shook the world, but seeing the individual dramatic stories looks fascinating. The trailer really does capture the intensity and shock of the day. It also seems as though Landesman is leaving conspiracy theories at the door, allowing the film to explore the emotional impact of the events.

PARKLAND is released on 20th September in the US and on 8th November in the UK. It stars Zac Efron, Billy Bob Thornton, Paul Giamatti, Marcia Gay Harden, James Badge Dale, Jackie Earle Haley, Ron Livingston, Tom Welling, Colin Hanks, and Mark Duplass.
