New Stills From De Niro & Travolta’s ‘Killing Season’

Earlier in the month, THN brought you the first two posters and trailer from GHOST RIDER and DAREDEVIL director Mark Steven Johnson’s KILLING SEASON. The survival thriller pits Oscar-winner Robert De Niro’s retired military sniper, against John Travolta’s sadistic bow-carrying Serbian soldier in a rough mountainous terrain in a battle of wits and physicality. Only one geriatric is going to return to his pipe and slippers…

Now we have a host of official stills from the film with a plot synopsis going as follows:

American military veteran Benjamin Ford (De Niro) has fled to a cabin retreat somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains to forget the painful memories of the Bosnian War he fought in. One day, visitor Emil Kovac (Travolta), a European tourist, knocks on his door, and the two men begin an unlikely friendship. When it develops that Kovac is in fact a former Serbian soldier bent on revenge, there begins a one-on-one confrontation and battle between the two throughout the harsh mountain environment.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
